His favorite pizza, he told the Herald, includes Calabrian chili, provolone, and oregano. “It has salt, fat, acidity, and spiciness,” explained the chef, who even has a tattoo of Calabrian chilies on his arm.
Everything is cooked in a wood-fired oven, featuring a menu focused on fresh ingredients and balanced flavors.
The Little River neighborhood, where Ramírez and his then-wife Andreina Matos decided to open La Natural in December 2020, has undergone a transformation since then.
What began as a quiet area is now home to several notable restaurants, including Boia De, Sunny’s Steakhouse, and Bar Bucce.
“It was a risk to open here, there was nothing,” Ramírez recalled. “Today, this neighborhood is truly a place where one wants to be.”
