France Football announced the official list of 30 nominees for the 2025 Ballon d'Or, highlighting the prominent presence of players from FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, and, above all, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

El Barça contributes Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Lewandowski, and Raphinha; Madrid adds Mbappé, Vinicius, and Bellingham; while PSG boasts nine candidates: Donnarumma, Nuno Mendes, Achraf Hakimi, Ousmane Dembélé, Vitinha, Désiré Doué, Joao Neves, Fabián Ruiz, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The Parisian club thus confirms its dominance after a brilliant season in which it achieved the treble —League, Cup, and Champions— although it fell just short of total glory by losing to Chelsea in the Club World Cup final.

Among the standout figures, Yamal (Barcelona) and Dembélé (PSG) emerge as two of the leading favorites thanks to their top-level individual performances

Outside of the three European giants, names such as Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Lautaro Martínez (Inter), Harry Kane (Bayern), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), and Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) stand out. Emerging players like Florian Wirtz, Michael Olise, and Viktor Gyokeres are also noted.

The significant absence is that of Rodri, winner of the Ballon d'Or 2024, who has been sidelined for almost the entire season due to a serious injury. The Spanish representation has been notably reduced: players like Carvajal, Nico Williams, and Grimaldo failed to make the list.

On September 22nd, the Théatre du Chatelet in Paris will host the much-anticipated gala where the winner of the most prestigious award in world football will be revealed.

With a blend of youth, experience, and established figures, the race for the Ballon d'Or 2025 promises to be one of the most exciting in recent years.
