Concerns are rising among the family and friends of Dayana González Gutiérrez, a 37-year-old Cuban resident in Spain, who has not been heard from in over a year.

The public denunciation has gone viral thanks to social media posts, particularly through La Yayu García, a close friend of the missing person, who has made a desperate plea to locate her.

In several messages shared on Facebook, García has insisted that Dayana's prolonged absence is completely unusual. "It has been over a year since I last heard from her, and her family hasn't either; she has never gone this long without communicating," he wrote in a post with pictures of the young woman.

According to the report, González resides in Cullera, a municipality in the province of Valencia and a very busy coastal area, but for more than a year and a half, he has not responded to calls or messages, nor has he shown any signs of life to anyone in his close circle.

In another message, La Yayu reiterated the request for help from the digital community: "We will keep sharing Dayana's photos to see if we can find her. Thank you all for your support. I have written to some media outlets on social media to spread the news more quickly."

The missing young woman is from Centro Habana, specifically from the San Leopoldo neighborhood, and had settled in Spain years ago.

According to her friend's testimony, Dayana is a sociable, dynamic, and friendly person, someone who always maintained close ties with those around her, which makes her prolonged silence all the more incomprehensible.

In the comments section, the user identified as Vne Rm stated that she reported the disappearance of her friend to the Valencia Police a year ago.

In a video shared on Facebook, García stated that she has known Dayana since they both studied together in high school in Centro Habana, and that her absence cannot be a voluntary act.

"Those of us who know her understand that, by her own choice, she wouldn't have been missing for over a year without talking to anyone. She is not that kind of person. Something must be happening," she said with evident concern.

Another detail that has raised concern is that, according to a comment on one of the search posts, the last thing that was known about Dayana is that she was in a romantic relationship with a man of Arab descent.

But there is no confirmed information about this person or their possible connection to the disappearance.

The call for solidarity has been reiterated: "My people from Valencia, please, enlighten me, help me, and give me all your support. Among all the posts, I hope we can raise our voices and find her whereabouts so that she can return safe and sound," concluded La Yayu in her message.

So far, no progress has been reported regarding a potential investigation.

Meanwhile, both Dayana's family and friends live with the uncertainty of not knowing what happened to her or where she might be.

The Cuban community abroad and numerous users on social media have joined the call for help, sharing images and information about the missing person in the hope that any lead will ultimately clarify her whereabouts.
