The passengers themselves explained that they were traveling south in the province when the vehicle broke apart, causing the incident. The prompt response of the medical staff allowed for immediate and effective care for all those affected, the publication claims.

The incident occurs just a few days after a tragic accident in the Niceto Pérez municipality claimed the life of a 22-year-old woman, identified by social media users as Yeni Sarmiento, and left her companion in critical condition.

Both were riding a small electric motorcycle that was violently struck by a bus after a sudden maneuver caused by the unexpected presence of an ox cart on the road, according to the page Miguel Noticias on Facebook.

The young man who was accompanying her remains hospitalized in serious condition. So far, the authorities have not issued an official statement regarding that incident.
