The Cuban creator Milena Ávila shared a homemade recipe on TikTok for preparing the traditional "Cuban-style" cold salad, using only four basic ingredients: pineapple, spaghetti, ham, and mayonnaise.

“We are going to make a cold salad in the Cuban style using just four ingredients,” Ávila explained at the beginning of the video, which has already garnered thousands of views on the platform.

The process begins with the preparation of a pineapple sweet. “I chop it up very finely because I like to add sugar and put it on the stove,” the young woman explained.

While the fruit is cooking, she softens the spaghetti and prepares a homemade mayonnaise, the recipe for which she promised to share in another video.

The ham, purchased at a supermarket chain in Miami, is another of the main ingredients. Once the spaghetti is soft, Milena mixes all the components and adds both homemade and commercial mayonnaise.

"More ingredients can be used, but this is how it's done for the Cuban version," said the Cuban.

The cold salad is a very popular dish at Cuban family celebrations, especially during parties and gatherings, due to its simplicity and distinctive flavor.
