The Cuban boxer Yordenis Ugás celebrated a very special date with his mother, almost a year after managing to reunite her with him in the United States.
Through his social media, Ugás shared an image of himself smiling alongside his mother during a boating trip in Miami Bay.
In the post, the athlete wrote an emotional message: “Happy religious birthday to my beloved mother. May Yemayá always bless her,” along with a prayer emoji and a heart.

The champion's mother arrived in the United States in November 2024, after 14 years of separation, a dream that Ugás had been pursuing for a long time.
At that time, the boxer expressed his immense happiness at having his mother by his side after so many years apart, separated by the circumstances of the Cuban exile.
Since their arrival, mother and son have been inseparable, sharing family moments and celebrations in Miami, where Ugás currently resides.
The boxer's gesture reflects not only his devotion to his mother but also his connection to Afro-Cuban traditions, as he dedicates the date to Yemayá, the orisha who protects mothers and the sea.
