The Cuban Electric Union (UNE) reported that the maximum impact due to a generation capacity deficit on October 22 was 1,818 MW at 7:10 PM. This figure was higher than planned due to the unavailability of units 3 in Santa Cruz and 3 in Renté.

During peak hours, the entry of unit 3 of the CTE Santa Cruz is expected to be 45 MW, which would leave a availability of 1,595 MW and a maximum demand of 3,320 MW, resulting in a deficit of 1,725 MW. Therefore, if the anticipated conditions persist, a shortfall of 1,795 MW is forecasted during this time.
The Electric Company of Havana indicated that on Wednesday, its peak impact was 174MW at 7:10 PM. Service was restored at 4:02 AM.
