A Cuban was arrested in Cárdenas, Matanzas after nine robberies in the municipality.

The thief, José Nivaldo Alfonso Calero, was also a fugitive from justice at the time of his arrest, reported the official profile Con Todos La Victoria.

Alfonso Calero stole two motorcycles, three towers, two monitors, and a gas canister in Cárdenas during two separate incidents in the Humberto Álvarez popular council.

In the town of Santa Marta, several items from a private kiosk, a motorcycle, and a garage bicycle were found.

Additionally, he committed four burglaries in homes in Boca de Camarioca, stealing two televisions from one of them.

He also stole a motorcycle from the oil wells located in that municipality.

According to the post from the official profile, Alfonso Calero, who had a criminal record for theft, armed robbery, and burglary, as well as escape from custody, confessed to the burglaries during interrogations.

Last Sunday, Carlos Laferte, owner of the café Calvo y 28, was murdered in Cárdenas, Matanzas.

The 61-year-old man was stabbed multiple times by a young man of only 18.

One day later, a young man identified as Dayfred Rizo Noda Herrera was arrested and charged as the perpetrator of the murder that occurred on Sunday night in a bar in the city.
