The US dollar (USD) is trading today, Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 490 Cuban pesos (CUP) in the informal market, according to the rate published by elTOQUE.

The black market for foreign currencies in Cuba has remained calm for two days. However, the dollar continues to be valued highly and is the most sought-after currency in Cuba, used as a reference for calculating prices and transactions in the private sector. Its constant increase reflects the impact of inflation, which continues to erode the value of the Cuban peso.

The euro (EUR) also shows a strong upward trend, with a value of 540 CUP. This European currency has become an alternative for those looking to protect their money against domestic devaluation. Its high price reflects the loss of purchasing power of salaries and pensions on the island.

The MLC (Freely Convertible Currency) remains today at 200 CUP per unit. Although its circulation is limited, it continues to be used in state stores and equally reflects the strong inflationary process affecting the Cuban economy.
