Gente de Zona has once again raised Cuba's name high. During their visit to the popular Dominican show La Casa de Alofoke, Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom took the opportunity during the interview to deliver a powerful message about the current situation on the island and to reaffirm their stance in defense of the Cuban people's freedom.

The members of the successful duo, globally recognized for the anthem "Patria y Vida," spoke openly about the regime in Havana and the conditions faced by Cubans within the country.

"We cannot go to Cuba; we have a song called Patria y Vida. We declare ourselves against the government due to everything that is happening there... In Cuba, there is a dictatorship, there is no freedom of expression, artists cannot thrive, there is no internet, there are diseases, a cyclone just passed, and people have nothing to eat... and we do not agree with that," expressed Alexander Delgado, visibly emotional, while his partner Randy Malcom nodded with pride.

The statements by Gente de Zona quickly went viral on social media, where thousands of Cubans both inside and outside the country expressed their gratitude for their courage and commitment to the cause of freedom.

The duo, which was censored by the Cuban regime in 2021 following the release of Patria y Vida, continues to use its international platform to denounce repression and the lack of rights in Cuba.

With their message at La Casa de Alofoke, Gente de Zona once again demonstrated that their music is a banner of resistance and hope for millions of Cubans who dream of a free nation.
