The Provincial Road Safety Commission of Havana reported that the Línea tunnel, on the Playa–Plaza de la Revolución access, will be completely closed from November 6 at 9:00 a.m. until the 15th of the same month at 10:00 p.m., for maintenance, painting, and pothole repairs.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Transport, Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila, who explained that the measure is being adopted "due to maintenance, painting, and patching work in the tunnel on Línea Street at the entrance from Playa to Plaza de la Revolución."

During the closure, the bus routes P1, P5, 8, 20, 34, and 37 will alter their routes, according to a plan released by the Provincial Transport Company of Havana.

As alternative routes, the authorities advised drivers to use 23rd Street, 41st Avenue, 5th Avenue, and the Malecón.

The Provincial Road Safety Commission urged users to “comply with the provisions outlined in this notice and stay attentive to the guidance of authority agents, in order to prevent the occurrence of traffic accidents.”
