A young Cuban woman had an emotional family reunion upon returning to Cuba after three and a half years away from the country, this time accompanied by her baby, whom her relatives met for the first time.
In the video posted on TikTok by user @thaliyae1, the Cuban shows the moments leading up to her arrival and the heartfelt embrace with her loved ones at the airport.
"My first trip to Cuba after three and a half years. Today I’m sharing my greatest love with you so you can meet it," she wrote in the description of the clip, which has quickly moved hundreds of users on the social media platform.
The images show the young woman visibly emotional as she holds her little one during the flight and, later, embracing her family members who were eagerly awaiting her, in tears.
In the comments, many Cubans living abroad identified with the story. "There's nothing like returning home and reuniting with your loved ones," wrote one user, while another commented, "Only those of us who are far away understand what that embrace feels like."
The reunion reflects an increasingly common reality for Cubans who have emigrated in recent years and who, after long periods without being able to return, come back to the country to see their families and introduce their children born outside the Island.
