Two masked individuals dressed in black broke into the home of entrepreneur Bobby Suárez in the northwest area of Miami-Dade during the early hours of Friday.
The renowned real estate mogul, known for his "Sell to Bobby" campaign, was sleeping alongside his wife and children when the intruders entered without forcing the door and remained inside for almost half an hour.
“We realized that at three in the morning, two men dressed in black with masks entered to rob us. I don’t know how they got in; within less than five minutes, they were inside. I’m not sure if they had a copy of the key, but they managed to enter without damaging the door,” Suárez explained in statements to Univision.
A robbery carried out with coldness and precision
The security cameras in the house captured the criminals as they rummaged through drawers, walked calmly through the rooms, and stole valuable items.
“They were at my house for 28 minutes”, Suárez told the local press, still surprised by the calmness with which they acted.
One of them was even wearing flip-flops, he noted.
They took a Porsche, handbags, and luxury items.
But beyond the material losses, the moment that disturbed the family the most was another one.
"The worst part is that they entered my daughter's room," revealed Suárez.
The intrusion into that intimate space of the home has left emotional scars that the businessman does not hide.
“I feel violated, we are in danger, you know? My children no longer want to sleep here, my wife is traumatized,” he said.
"If they were capable of doing that, would they be able to kill us?" he wondered anxiously.
Without signs of forced entry
One of the elements that most concerns the family and investigators is that there were no signs of forced entry.
The door was not forced open, which raises suspicions that the thieves used a key or some sophisticated method to enter without leaving a trace.
This possibility has raised alarms about the planning behind the crime.
Ongoing research and a call to the public
The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the case and is urging anyone with information to contact the authorities.
The images captured by the security cameras could be crucial for identifying the perpetrators.
So far, there are no arrests, and the stolen Porsche has not been recovered.
The case has generated concern in the community, especially due to the sense of helplessness it conveys: not a secure home in a residential neighborhood, nor a surveillance system prevented the criminals from acting with complete ease while a family slept.
“This was another level”, concluded Bobby Suárez, convinced that what happened was not just a regular theft, but a profound violation of his most personal space.
