The love between two Cuban women is melting hearts on social media. Lisandra and Melissa, a couple residing in Miami, shared in a TikTok video how they met and how, after months of glances, coincidences, and complicity, their story culminated in engagement.
The video, posted by the user @lizandracast8, has gone viral due to the naturalness and tenderness with which both share their story. "Here’s the story of how we met," one of them begins, while the other smiles and chimes in with laughter to complete the sentences.
It all started, as they recounted, at the popular pool parties held on Sundays at Hard Rock in Miami. Melissa was invited by a photographer friend who was working at the event, and, by chance, he seated her at the same table as Lisandra.
"I was talking to my friend when she arrived and greeted us. She had a voice that caught my attention, and when I saw her, I thought: wow, and that voice..." Melissa recalled, as Lisandra couldn't help but laugh.
Although at that time Lisandra was in a relationship, Melissa confessed that since that night she couldn't get her out of her mind:
“I spent the entire party watching her. The next day, I told my friends and everyone that I liked her. But I respected her relationship.”
In the following months, Melissa followed her on social media, watched her stories, and even joked about "unfollowing" her (stopping and then following again) as a playful game. Until one day, she discovered that Lisandra was single.
Some time later, fate brought them together again at another party, this time at the Babylon club, and that's where their love story began. They have been inseparable since then.
Today they live together and describe themselves as two happy women who give each other "peace" and can be themselves without fear. Recently, one of them proposed to the other, and they excitedly announced that they will soon be getting married.
“We are happy because we give each other peace and can be ourselves, one with another,” they said in the video, which has already garnered thousands of views and supportive comments from the Cuban community.
The story of Lisandra and Melissa has touched many users who celebrate their love and the freedom with which they live it. At a time when prejudices still persist, their story is also a testament to bravery and authenticity.
