The Casa del Caribe, one of the most recognized cultural institutions in Santiago de Cuba, alerted about the presence in that city of an individual who offers religious consultations in public, claiming to act under its protection.

In a statement shared on their social media, the entity categorically denied any connection with that individual and labeled their actions as “false” and “unauthorized.”

"In recent days, misleading information has been circulating about an individual who is offering religious consultations to people on the street claiming to be backed by the Casa del Caribe. We want to alert the community to the falsehood of such actions and offerings," the text states.

The Casa del Caribe stated that it does not authorize any procedures of this type, which "should ultimately be coordinated with its official projects."

The Santiago center, known for its work in the promotion of traditional popular culture and Afro-Caribbean religiosity, has urged the public to remain vigilant and not to be swayed by rumors or unverified information.

“ We uphold the authenticity of our cultural and religious expressions, and we reject any attempt to manipulate them for personal or economic gain,” the institution emphasized.

The case has generated concern within the religious and cultural community in Santiago de Cuba, where fear is growing due to the increase in false practices and scams that are sheltered under the symbols of Cuban popular faith.
