A Cuban artist has moved thousands of users on social media by showcasing his impressive painting of the Virgin of Charity of El Cobre, the patroness of Cuba, a symbol of faith, hope, and unity for Cubans both on the island and abroad.

The video, shared by the TikTok account @misraices_atelieryoruba, shows the young man holding a large painting featuring the Virgin dressed in gold, with the Child Jesus in her arms, while below are depicted the three Juans—the fishermen who, according to legend, found her image floating in the Nipe bay over 400 years ago.

The work, created with impressive realism and a deep spiritual sense, has generated a wave of comments filled with emotion and pride among Cuban internet users.

“WOWWWW! What beauty and excellent work, Holy Mother,” wrote a moved user. “Wonderful. What a beautiful painting,” added another.

"Have mercy, mother of all Cubans remaining on the island. Amen," commented a follower from Cuba.

The video has accumulated thousands of views in just a few hours, establishing itself as an artistic and devotional tribute to the Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre, regarded by both believers and non-believers as a symbol of national identity and hope amidst the challenges faced by the Cuban people.

The image of "Cachita," as the Cubans affectionately call her, continues to inspire artists both inside and outside the country, reminding us that even in times of crisis, faith and art remain a refuge and a source of pride for the entire nation.
