Chabelys Ceballos, a young Cuban entrepreneur known on social media as @chabelyscc__, surprised her followers by showing how she managed to raise over 100,000 Cuban pesos in a single day thanks to her two private businesses in Havana.
One of their ventures is dedicated to selling ice creams and flans. The other business focuses on the trade of athletic shoes, or "tennis," as they are commonly called in Cuba.
Ceballos explained that most ice cream orders are concentrated during the night. "I think people crave trying them at that time," said the entrepreneur, who combines creativity, effort, and perseverance to sustain her project in a challenging economic context.
On that day, she received a total of 17 orders between both businesses, and the profit was 103,550 CUP.
The Cuban entrepreneur has a delivery person, but she assures that when he is not available, she herself takes care of the deliveries because "the business cannot stop."
In addition, the young woman is responsible for making the flans and ice creams, purchasing the supplies, keeping the accounts, and managing every detail of the business.
Her story reflects the drive and resilience of many Cubans who, despite the challenges in the country, are committed to entrepreneurship and moving forward through their own efforts.
