A young woman from Holguín is going viral on TikTok after showcasing her talent and strength in a pole dance routine during a public performance in Cuba.

In the video shared by user @tesok2025, the girl is skillfully performing various figures and acrobatics on a vertical bar, while electronic music plays in the background and a DJ energizes the event.

The text on the clip says: "In Cuba, Holguín, where they thought pole was only done in the USA," accompanied by fire emojis, the Cuban flag, and a flexed arm.

The comments came in quickly. "Open the border, we're going to sponsor that girl here," wrote one user. Another joked, "She's practicing for when she gets to the USA."

Although pole dance is often associated with gyms or performances outside the Island, more and more Cuban women are practicing it as a form of art and athletic discipline. However, the lack of suitable spaces and social prejudice hinder its development within the country.

The presentation in Holguín demonstrates that Cuban talent knows no borders, even in disciplines that are little-known or frowned upon by conservative sectors of the regime.

Amid the economic crisis and lack of opportunities, many young women are choosing to express themselves and excel through sports and dance, despite the limitations imposed by the system.
