A freight train loaded with fuel collided this Thursday with a tractor that blocked the railway track in the province of Artemisa, an accident that ended without casualties, according to .
The train, which was traveling the Havana-Pinar del Río route, collided with the tractor this afternoon as it crossed the railway line at the height of 40th Avenue in the capital of Artemisa, reported journalist Yarima Córdova Escobar in a Facebook post.
The driver of the agricultural vehicle ignored the signals from the machinist, identified as Gustavo Enmanuel, from Ferrocarriles Habana, the reporter said.
According to the information, no one was injured in the accident, but the tractor and the locomotive did sustain material damage.
According to the photos in the post, it seems that the tractor was transporting a load in a trailer, but that detail has not been clarified.
The road remains closed while authorities investigate the incident.
Exactly one month ago, a similar accident occurred in the province of Artemisa.
