Lázara Campos Cabrera, a 29-year-old Cuban doctor, was detained by ICE during a routine appointment in Houston, despite having no criminal record and having a severely ill baby who requires constant care.

The journalist Javier Díaz presented the case on his Facebook profile and called on Cuban-American senators to intervene on behalf of this woman, who has met all immigration requirements since she arrived in the United States in 2021 with a I-220A.

Explica que lo más doloroso de su detención es la situación de su hija de 15 meses, Antonella, quien nació con dos condiciones genéticas graves que comprometen su vida.

Little Antonella is in critical condition and is entirely dependent on specialized care.
