The US dollar maintains an exchange rate that today reaches 450 Cuban pesos (CUP), according to elTOQUE.

The U.S. dollar continues to be one of the main currencies used for cash transactions on the island, where the scarcity of foreign exchange keeps its demand high.

On its part, the euro is trading this Saturday at 490 CUP. It is the highest valued currency in the informal market. Although its circulation is lower than that of the dollar, it is commonly used among those who receive remittances from Europe or conduct transactions in that currency.

Meanwhile, the MLC (Freely Convertible Currency) recovered its value to 280 CUP, which is 8 pesos more than the previous day.
