Isis Sierra Hernández, sister of the Cuban reggaeton artist Chocolate MC, posted a video on her social media to respond to a comment questioning how she could appear happy while her brother remains imprisoned in the United States.
"That is a comment someone left me, and I am going to respond, not because I owe anyone explanations, but because there are things that many people need to hear," Sierra began calmly.
The repairman's sister explained that, although her brother is in prison, she is grateful to God that he is alive. “Though many people may not understand it, it's better to be there than to be dead. My brother was going through a very tough crisis and some very hard times. And I believe, and he believes too, that all of this has a purpose from God,” she expressed.
With a firm tone, Isis made it clear that her strength does not mean a lack of feelings, but rather responsibility: “I have a family, I have children and a mother. I am the only family my brother has in this country, and that means I cannot falter. Not because it doesn't hurt, but because I have responsibilities. I have to keep working, growing, and being strong, because if I fall, who will take care of my loved ones?”.
Sierra also explained that she came to the United States with a clear goal: “I came to this country with a purpose: to give my children a better future. While some use their phones to criticize, judge, and direct the lives of others, I use mine to grow, focus, seize opportunities, and support my family.”
Finally, he concluded with a message of faith and maturity that resonated with many of his followers: “Not everyone understands that, but not everyone is willing to bear what I carry. And no, this isn’t a lack of feeling, it’s maturity, faith, and responsibility. Until then, blessings, and remember not to miss any of my videos.”
