A 30-year-old Cuban died this Saturday in a traffic accident in the Canelones department, Uruguay.
The incident occurred when the Cuban, who was riding a motorcycle, collided with a trailer pulled by a tractor, a local media outlet reported
As a result of the collision, the Cuban citizen who was naturalized in Uruguay died at the scene.
For his part, the tractor driver, who tested negative for alcohol, emerged unscathed.
The accident occurred around 5:30 AM on Route 65, at kilometer 82, in the jurisdiction of San Bautista, the information specified.
The causes of the incident are currently under investigation.
The identities of those involved have not been disclosed.
In October, a 25-year-old Cuban died and eight others were injured in a traffic accident that took place on Route 7, also in the Uruguayan department of Canelones.
The accident occurred when a car traveling south collided with a van that was going in the opposite direction and was attempting to turn left.
The driver of the car, 25 years old and the sole occupant, suffered minor injuries, and the breathalyzer test performed showed a result of zero.
The van was carrying ten people, nine of whom were Cuban nationals, aged between 20 and 35 years. The driver, a 58-year-old Uruguayan, was unharmed and also tested negative for alcohol.
Among the passengers, a young Cuban lost his life at the scene of the accident; another sustained serious injuries, and seven others suffered minor injuries.
