A Cuban family residing in Uruguay celebrated with great excitement reaching six months in that country and witnessing how their dreams are beginning to materialize, after overcoming a difficult period of uprooting, separation from loved ones, and economic uncertainty.

The protagonist of this story is a Cuban content creator named Sandra Lozada (@frida_nails_s) who is a professional manicurist. Together with her husband and son, she chose to start a new life in the South American country.

“Is the road tough? Yes, but I am tougher, because I am Cuban,” she expressed in an emotional video shared on social media that quickly went viral, where she showcases the purchase of her first television, an achievement that, although simple for many, symbolizes the effort, sacrifice, and resilience away from her homeland.

With a shaky voice and a smile, the influencer expressed her gratitude for every step of the migration process: “Perhaps for some this is something simple, but for us it represents a lot of effort and early mornings dreaming of living better.
