A video reportedly filmed in Cuba has gone viral on TikTok after capturing the unusual moment when a family tried to reveal the gender of their baby… but the plan didn’t go as expected.
In the images shared by the user @ilenahernndezcame2, the future parents are seen surrounded by family and friends during the baby shower.
The surprise of the event involved inflating a large black balloon —which contained the revealing color of the baby's sex— using a motorcycle's exhaust pipe.
However, the makeshift method did not go well: the balloon inflated, but before it could burst, it broke free and flew away, to the shouts and laughter of the attendees, who ran futilely after it.
Finally, no one was able to catch the balloon, so the anticipated revelation remained up in the air (literally).
The amusing incident has gone viral on TikTok, where thousands of users have humorously commented on the creativity and outcome of the failed attempt. "Even the baby doesn't know if it's a boy or a girl after this," joked a user.
