The White House released an unusual Christmas video featuring President Donald Trump reviewing an alleged "blacklist" of undocumented immigrants, a piece of content that went viral and sparked ridicule, disbelief, and outrage on social media.

The clip—shared since December 23—has surpassed 1.1 million views and was presented as if it were a “live” broadcast.

The finished video shows Trump sitting next to a fireplace, with milk and cookies nearby, as his silhouette is seen reading names on a long scroll. The content is accompanied by relaxing ambient music.

The piece is titled "List of Naughty Illegal Immigrant Criminals of Low Fidelity" and the administration frames it as a "lo-fi" version of Santa Claus's "naughty" list.

The names that are read are associated with alleged serious crimes, including human trafficking, slavery, and murder.

The administration added an explicit caption that reinforces the deportation approach:
“BREAKING: The list of Santa Claus's naughty ones: the WORST of the worst, lo-fi edition. No coal. Only deportation.

The video is part of a communication campaign to highlight criminal cases attributed to undocumented immigrants.

On social media, the tone of the video sparked mixed reactions. Among the comments cited, several users mocked the idea that there are young staff or interns behind the content: “The interns at the White House are having a great time,” wrote one.

Others reacted with disbelief: “This can't be real”, said a user. There were also direct criticisms: “Another crazy post from the White House,” commented another person.

Part of the conversation shifted to the files of Jeffrey Epstein. A user wrote: “Now make the Epstein list,” while others made similar references, including comments mentioning that Trump's name would be heavily censored in documents recently published, according to the text.

The White House also released a separate piece of content that mimics the style of the "The Nightmare Before Christmas" poster to promote voluntary self-deportation through the CBP Home app before December 31, 2025, with the promise of "up to $3,000" and "the opportunity" to return legally.

Recently, other similar messages have elicited reactions that label them as "cruel" and "shameful," especially when published on the eve of Christmas, a time associated with compassion and family spirit.

The Hispanic community in Miami, including Cuban immigrants, showed divided reactions: while some defended the deportation policy, others lamented the government's lack of empathy towards migrants in irregular situations.
