The renowned Cuban-American lawyer and presenter Ana María Polo, an emblematic figure of Hispanic television in the United States, shared an emotional Christmas message in which she combined personal reflections, faith, and a strong call to value democracy and diversity.
“We are approaching the end of the year, and Christmas is here,” Dr. Polo began in a video shared on her social media, where she appeared warm and down-to-earth. “I’m in good health, a bit older, a bit heavier, but still human, just like always,” she added with a laugh.
The host of Caso Cerrado stated that she believes in miracles and encouraged her audience to ask for them during this time.
“This is a wonderful moment to ask for miracles, to reach out to the creator, to whom you believe in, because believing is what matters.”
Polo acknowledged that "this year has not been easy for Americans" and expanded his message to the global context.
"The world is also quite tumultuous, and I believe we need to realize that we are not just part of a single country; we are part of this planet, of this humanity."
In the final part of her message, the lawyer firmly defended democratic values: “Long live democracy, long live equality. And remember one thing, this country is a country of immigrants, the whole world belongs to immigrants.”
"We belong to the land, and this land must be cared for, balanced, and treated with love. So, sending much love to you all. Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year," he concluded.
