In a serious accident that occurred this Thursday in a locality of the Yateras municipality in Guantánamo, a man was injured after falling from a palm tree while performing trimming work, according to official reports.
The incident caused shock in the community of the popular council Palenque, in the locality of Madre Vieja, and mobilized police forces, volunteers from the Red Cross, and local residents, who immediately rushed to assist the victim, according to information shared on Facebook by the user Carlos Pérez and the broadcaster Radio Guantánamo.
The injured man was urgently transferred to a hospital, which has not been identified by sources.
The published photos show the moment when the injured person is assisted by several individuals, including a police officer, who carry him using a sheet and cloths, and place him into a vehicle of the operational guard of the PNR in Yateras.
In another image, the patient can be seen immobilized in a bed while receiving medical attention in a healthcare institution. No information has been disclosed about the extent of the injuries he sustained or the progression of his physical condition.
