Cuban content creator Ellie (@elllie_bells) has captured attention on social media after bringing her American boyfriend to spend the New Year’s holiday with her family in Cuba.
What seemed like a peaceful journey turned into a fun adventure that has delighted thousands of followers on social media.
In her videos, Ellie shows how the “gringo” adapts to life on the island, sleeping under a mosquito net to avoid insect bites, walking barefoot on the dirt yard, playing with the family's dog, and even with his girlfriend's nephews.
However, what really drove this Cuban's followers wild online was the bizarre way the gringo drinks a Cristal beer in just two seconds.
In one of the clips, the tourist demonstrates his "trick" for drinking a Cristal. He opens the can from the side and downs it in one gulp, much to the incredulous gaze of the Cuban family, who can't stop laughing.
The video has garnered thousands of views and dozens of funny comments from Cubans both inside and outside the country, many of whom assert that the foreigner "already deserves to be on that family's supply ration card."
