The Yoruba Kola Ifá Osha Institution, one of the most prestigious religious houses in Miami, revealed the first details of its Letter of the Year 2026.
The babalawos of Miami have been celebrating this ceremony uninterrupted for 26 years. Their Letter of the Year sets the spiritual guidelines for most of the Yoruba community in Florida, United States.
The institution published only a preview of the prophecy for 2026, urging to “avoid interpersonal conflicts,” stating that “Orunmila has the solution.”
The ruling Oddún of this year is Ogunda She, accompanied by Otura Niko as the first witness and Ogbe Wéñé as the second witness.
The regent Orishas are Oggún, the deity of work, strength, and war, and Oshún, the goddess of love and prosperity, who accompanies him in this cycle. This aspect aligns with the Letter of the Year 2026 released on January 1st by the Cultural Yoruba Association of Cuba.
In Miami, the flag representing the year will be made up of the colors green and black, with a yellow border.
In a recent video, the priest Manolo Erice from casa Kola Ifá Osha explained that all the analyses and detailed recommendations of the Letter of the Year 2026 will be disclosed during a drum session scheduled for January 17 at the institution's headquarters in Miami.
So far, these are the main elements that will spiritually govern the year for the Yoruba community and followers of Ifá in South Florida, who each year eagerly await the guidance of this religious house.
