In the midst of international turmoil over the capture of Nicolás Maduro and Donald Trump's statements about Cuba, a Cuban woman starred in one of the most talked-about moments on TikTok. The young woman decided to joke with her mother, telling her that "Trump was going to Cuba," and the woman's response quickly went viral.

“Look, don’t mess with me, and just get my paperwork sorted,” the mother is heard saying in a tone as serious as it is desperate. “Whether Trump comes or doesn't come, and without the bombing, I’m done for. Call the lawyer on Monday, ask her about the appointment, because I’m dying to get out of here. Don’t act cute,” she concludes, making it clear that her priority is not politics, but leaving the country as soon as possible.

The video, posted by the Cuban user La Chiki (@lachikidecuba on TikTok), gathered thousands of views within hours and was filled with comments that turned "turnito" into the most repeated phrase of the day. "She is clear about what she wants," wrote one user, while another joked: "Get her out of there as fast as you can."

Although the video was shared in a humorous tone, many users also saw in the mother's words a reflection of the fatigue experienced in Cuba. "This is not just a joke; it's the reality of thousands who dream of leaving," wrote an internet user. Others simply identified with the moment: "That's exactly how mine is, counting the days to leave."

On social media, the clip became a kind of collective catharsis. Amid laughter and repeated phrases like memes, the scene made it clear that, beyond politics or promises, what many Cubans desire is the same as the mother in the video: “to take flight, and the sooner the better.”
