The Cuban creator @nancy.fl09 excited her followers with a video in which she showcases a very special achievement: the purchase of her first bed in Costa Rica, the country where she started from scratch after emigrating from Cuba.
“The year is almost over, and I can’t explain the happiness I feel for having achieved another goal,” Nancy wrote in her post, where she shares that she arrived in the country “with a backpack and two pieces of clothing” and that, little by little, she has been building a worthy home through hard work and sacrifice.
“For many, it’s just a bed, but for me, it means seeing how little by little I'm achieving many things in my home,” she confessed. Her story moved hundreds of users, especially other migrants who identified with the process. “This happens to all of us who arrive in Costa Rica; starting from scratch is not easy,” commented one user.
The comments were filled with affection, support, and excitement. “What a lovely bed, every effort brings its reward,” wrote one user. Another commented: “That's how we all start, with a little but with determination. Today it’s a bed, tomorrow it will be a house of our own.” From Costa Rica, the messages multiplied: “Welcome to this blessed country, everything can be achieved through hard work,” “How wonderful to see Cubans progressing, may God continue to shower you with blessings,” and “May this piece of land allow you to fulfill all your dreams.”
There were also those who shared their own experiences. “I went through the same thing when I emigrated; now I look back and it was all worth it”, mentioned a follower. “I arrived with a suitcase, and today my home has everything I need. Seeing you motivates me,” added another. Among so many messages of support, one stood out for its warmth: “Your happiness comes through even in the video. That bed represents effort, sacrifice, and faith. Congratulations, little Cuban, you earned it.”
The video, which has already garnered thousands of views, reflects a reality shared by many Cubans who have had to start from scratch in another country. “I arrived with nothing, and now I have everything I need to live with dignity,” said Nancy, who concluded her message by expressing gratitude to God and life for every step taken.
