A Cuban woman has sparked laughter on TikTok after posting a video in which, with affection and mischief, she “talks” directly to the President of the United States, Donald Trump, to inform him of some supposed statements made by Miguel Díaz-Canel. The clip, shared by the user @___eli85, has gone viral due to its boldness, wit, and very Cuban way of blending political humor with tenderness and sarcasm.

In front of her television —where Trump is giving a speech— the young woman starts with a loving greeting: “Where is Mom's beautiful thing? A little kiss. Love you.” But she quickly changes her tone and issues her “presidential alert”: “Look, pay attention, yesterday Díaz-Canel in Cuba said this: don’t take long to arrive, coward, I’m waiting for you here in Havana. That’s what he said. What do you think? I’ll leave that as your homework.”

Although Díaz-Canel never uttered those words, the video reminded many of the time Nicolás Maduro made a similar remark before being captured by U.S. forces in Caracas, which added a joking undertone to the message. More than a denunciation, the scene is perceived as a humorous nod reflecting the desire of many Cubans for it to also be La Habana's "turn."

In her amusing "report" to Trump, the creator continues to assert that new natural riches have been "discovered" in Cuba: "They found three mines of gold, copper, and nickel in the east, and in Matanzas and Cienfuegos, three large oil reserves. You don't like being sold a cat for a hare, and neither do I," she says with laughter, looking at the screen.

The audience reacted with enthusiasm and a great sense of humor. “I can attest that she said it, and here’s the proof,” joked one user, while another wrote: “I am Venezuelan, but with this video I feel Cuban. We’ll be waiting for you with a coffee in Havana.” “She doesn’t gossip, she just informs,” added someone else, with others contributing complicit messages like “Trump, listen to her, she’s trustworthy,” “I don’t like gossip, but giving information isn’t a sin, Mr. President,” or “That’s how it all started with Maduro.”
