A viral video posted on Instagram by the creator Triple X 369 has ignited Cuban social media by humorously imagining—through artificial intelligence—the moment when Raúl Castro and Miguel Díaz-Canel are captured by U.S. special forces.
The sequence, titled “Cuba, year 2026”, begins in the Oval Office, where a digital Donald Trump gives the order in his characteristic tone: “Bring me Díaz-Canel and Raúl Castro”. On the other end of the line, a Delta Force officer responds firmly: “At your command, Mr. President”.
What follows is a cinematic production: helicopters flying over Havana, descents on ropes, explosions, and soldiers storming a government palace while action music plays.
The most talked-about scene shows Raúl and Díaz-Canel hiding under the sheets, reminiscent of the memes about Maduro and Cilia Flores during their capture days ago. "Raúl, this is as far as we go", says an AI-generated Canel with a look of panic.
The video concludes with both leaders handcuffed, wearing glasses and headphones, dressed in the same gray tracksuits that Maduro wore in the footage of his arrest, while they are being transported on a military plane headed to the United States.
The post has garnered tens of thousands of views and comments filled with laughter and desire. “I'm going to save this to watch it daily”, joked one user; another wrote: “Today AI, tomorrow reality!”.
The clip is part of a wave of memes and digital recreations that envision the end of Castroism following the political change in Venezuela.
On social media, humor has become a relief valve and a political barometer: caught between ridicule and hope, many Cubans seem to be preparing, at least in their imagination, for the final chapter of the regime.
