The Cuban infielder Yoan Moncada has signed a contract worth 4 million dollars with the Los Angeles Angels for the 2026 season, as confirmed by journalist Francys Romero on his social media.

The agreement marks the official return of Moncada to the Angelino organization, with which he left good impressions during the 2025 season.

During that period, the player from Cienfuegos, who aims to represent his country again in the World Baseball Classic, played 84 games, hit 12 home runs, and recorded an OPS of .783, numbers that convinced the management to bet on his talent once more.

At 30 years old, Moncada is looking to solidify a stage of greater stability after seasons marked by injuries, and the Angels represent a favorable scenario both for continuity and for an opportunity to play a leading role in the infield. His defensive versatility and ability to provide power from both sides of the plate remain valued assets within the organization.

The Cuban third baseman is represented by The Movement Baseball, an agency that has managed his career in recent years and successfully reached an agreement deemed positive for both parties, taking into account the current market and the player's recent history.

With this contract, Moncada will attempt to relaunch his career and bring experience to a restructured Angels team, while the Cuban prepares for a crucial season in his Major League journey.
