The Cuban singer Zurdo MC fulfilled a personal promise during his trip to Havana and visited the graves of the artists El Dany and El Taiger, two of the most beloved figures in the Cuban urban genre. The emotional moment, which he shared on his Instagram account, has touched thousands of followers.

"Promises are fulfilled. God bless them, my loved ones", wrote Zurdo next to a video where he is seen arriving in a black car with a bouquet of white roses, which he carefully placed in front of the graves of the musicians. In his post, he included the hashtags #ProhibidoOlvidar, #LBMA, #ElDanyMasDuro, and #ElTaiger, reaffirming the impact that both had on his life and on Cuban music.

In the images, the singer appears visibly moved as he stands in silence before the places where his colleagues rest. His gesture was met with hundreds of messages of affection and respect. “Legends never die,” “Impossible to forget the truth,” and “Always José,” wrote some of his followers, expressing gratitude for his loyalty and his tribute to those who defined a generation.

El Dany, from the duo Yomil y El Dany, passed away in July 2020, while El Taiger was killed in October 2024. Despite their departures, their names are still fondly remembered by colleagues and fans.

With this visit, Zurdo MC reaffirms his commitment to memory and respect within the genre. His message — “Promises are kept” — encapsulates the sentiment of many Cuban artists: to keep alive the essence and legacy of those who made history in urban music.
