A video created with artificial intelligence has moved thousands of Cubans by showing what Havana could look like if its crumbling buildings were entirely restored.

The post, shared by the user @ilovecubita on TikTok, recreates the transformation of an old, semi-destroyed building into an architectural gem full of life, color, and greenery.

The images show the entire process: from the building at risk of collapse to its digital reconstruction, featuring clean facades, restored balconies, and gardens on each floor. The sequence, which has already garnered thousands of views, has evoked nostalgia and hope among Cuban internet users.

"There are buildings that, unfortunately, if they are not intervened within the next five years, will be lost forever," commented one user. Another wrote: "It's a true madness; it will return to its former glory. My Cuba is so beautiful!"

The comments multiplied with messages of admiration and a desire for change: “How beautiful! I hope it becomes a reality one day. Cuba is a hidden treasure.”

The publication reignites the debate about urban decay affecting the Cuban capital, where hundreds of colonial buildings are on the brink of collapse.

Many see in these AI-generated videos a symbolic way to envision the country they dream of: a rebuilt, modern, and vibrant Cuba, free from the neglect that characterizes its present.

Meanwhile, Cubans continue to share the video as a reminder of what could be possible if there were the will and resources to rescue the architectural heritage of the Island.
