Cuban content creator Samantha Espineira surprised her followers by sharing a video in English that quickly went viral on Instagram. In the clip, the influencer spoke candidly about her insecurities when expressing herself in another language and offered advice to those, like her, who are trying to improve their English skills.
"I get nervous when I have to speak in English and in front of a camera. It's crazy for me. In fact, I'm really scared right now," she shared in English.
Despite her nerves, Samantha took the opportunity to share her enthusiasm for her learning process: “I’m so happy with my progress. My best advice for you is to watch movies in English, read books in English, and listen to music in English—everything in English.”

Then, she switched back to Spanish to explain that she feels much more comfortable having a casual conversation in person than speaking in front of a camera: “I get really nervous when I'm in front of a camera. I flow much better when I’m having a casual conversation in person. But I guess this is also a process that will improve over time.”
The influencer also took the opportunity to encourage her followers to overcome their fear of making mistakes: “The only advice I can give you is to not be afraid of making mistakes. Don’t be afraid to get the accent perfect or to say the words as correctly as you can, because the process of making mistakes is the process of growth.”
Espineira added that he appreciates being corrected, as he believes that corrections are an opportunity for improvement: “I love being corrected when I do things wrong. Correct me, because correction is the best way to grow in something you want to learn. So don't be afraid and study.”
The clip was replicated by the influencer Un Martí To Durako on his Instagram account, where it reached thousands of views in just a few minutes. The post generated a wave of comments, ranging from criticism to messages of support, many highlighting Samantha's effort in focusing on her personal growth.
