The Cuban creator Kales (@kales_kls) responded to the offensive comments he received after posting a video in which he showed that he had gone to a buffet in Cuba with his family. “I am a millionaire in Cuba, and what's more, I am the son of... don’t be foolish,” he began with an ironic tone, before explaining the true background of his message.

The young man explained that many users attacked him for showing economic improvement, insinuating that he had received help from outside or that he was living off someone else's support. “Do you know what the problem with Cubans is? They crush each other,” he said in the video, which quickly went viral and has garnered thousands of views.

“I arrived in Havana five years ago with a single goal: to be able to help my family. And of course, after so many years of working, I have seen my results. If you want to compare me to the person on the corner drinking or smoking, that doesn't mean anything to me,” stated Kales, defending his effort and perseverance.

The creator insisted that he has no family outside the country, no visa, and no external support, and that everything he has achieved has been a result of his own work. “After experiencing so much hardship during my personal growth, I can't limit my life because of people who think that way,” he stated.

The video sparked extensive debate on social media. While some users praised his determination, others criticized him for his direct tone. "Cubans need to learn to be happy for others' success," wrote one follower, while another commented, "That's true, we are always trying to bring each other down."

Beyond the controversies, Kales' message resonated with many who identified with his story of hard work and overcoming challenges. “I have no family abroad, I have no visa, I have nothing. If I were a millionaire, I wouldn't be living here,” the creator clarified, making it clear that his success is the result of hard work and not privilege, and that if he had the opportunity, he wouldn't be where he is.
