The tanker LPG Emilia, flying the Cuban flag and bearing IMO number 9242209, is currently underway to the port of Cienfuegos, Cuba (CUCFG), according to the latest maritime records from the specialized site Vesselfinder.

According to the data reviewed, the ship departed from Puerto de Pastelillo (Cuba) on December 22, more than 40 days ago, and is currently reporting a speed of 3.3 knots heading 278°, under the navigation status under way.

The navigation route seems to indicate that a visit was made to a port in Jamaica recently.

Its current draught is 8.4 meters, which suggests that it could carry a significant load of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or petroleum products.

The LPG Emilia, measuring 178 meters in length and 28 meters in beam, has made several calls at Cuban ports such as Santiago de Cuba, Moa, and Cienfuegos over the past few months, as well as a visit to San Pedro de Macorís in the Dominican Republic, according to its movement history.

In total, the vessel has made 12 port calls in the last year, 11 of them in Cuba and one in Spain.

Navigation information suggests that the ship may be heading back to a Cuban terminal, possibly to deliver fuel or liquefied gas, amid the ongoing energy crisis affecting the island.

Its last known loading took place at the Nuevitas wet terminal, under the administration of the state company UEB Comercializadora de Aceites Nuevitas.

During 2025, the vessel has remained 46.2% of the time anchored and 18.1% in port, which highlights an intermittent activity, typical of supply ships operated by the Cuban regime amid financial restrictions and operational limitations.

The reactivation of the LPG Emilia movement could indicate a new effort by the Cuban government to secure energy supplies and avoid restrictions from the United States.
