The Cuban content creator @rubia.linda_official shared a video that has caused outrage on social media by showing the deplorable conditions of the Pediatric Hospital “Eliseo Noel Caamaño”, in the province of Matanzas.
In the images, bathrooms are seen with toilets filled with trash, dirty floors, deteriorated walls, as well as broken doors and furniture.
“This is a place to care for sick children, but this does not deserve to be called a hospital,” a woman is heard saying in the video.
“It's such a pain and disappointment to see my people suffering in hospitals like this. It's heartbreaking to think that I was born in such a beautiful country, and to witness its current state. This breaks my heart,” wrote the influencer alongside the post.
The video reflects the deep crisis of the healthcare system in Cuba, marked by a lack of medications, the deterioration of infrastructure, and a scarcity of basic resources.
While the regime tries to conceal the healthcare collapse, public discontent is rising due to the hardships faced by thousands of families in the country's hospitals.
