Aída y Vuelta will not be released in Cuban cinemas, but the Cuban audience will not miss out on the return of one of the most beloved comedies from Spanish television. This was affirmed by Paco León, the actor who brought the unforgettable Luisma to life, during a press conference for the movie's premiere.

At the press conference, a Cuban woman took the floor to express a heartfelt gratitude, stating that she represented the entire Cuban community both on and off the Island.

"It’s not a question; it’s a thank you that we want to give you. I’m expressing it on behalf of all Cubans, because you know we care about you a lot," he asserted. "You are our family, just like that. I have many friends who are watching you live right now from Miami and many other places, and to them, you are very important. You, like Aida, in general. Thank you. That's all. Thank you, from the Cuban community."

Paco León responded with the same warmth and acknowledged the strong connection the series has had with Cubans, both in Cuba and in exile.

"It's a topic that worries me a lot, because many people here in Spain don’t know this, but most of the show's big fans are in Cuba, in Miami," he explained. "They have followed the series for years, and I imagine that if it has been a relief for many families here in Spain, it has been even more so there."

The actor confirmed that Aída y Vuelta will premiere in Puerto Rico, Miami, other cities in the United States, and several Caribbean countries, but acknowledged that bringing it to Cuban theaters officially has been very complicated.

"For political reasons, it is very difficult. I have tried in many ways," he confessed. Still, he assured that he does not lose hope that the film will reach the Island in some way.

With a phrase that drew smiles, Paco León appealed to the creativity of the Cuban people: “The magic of Cuba… they thrive on photosynthesis, and they see everything. You never know, but everything reaches them; somehow it will arrive. I sense that it may not come in the way they deserve, but somehow Aída will return, and that is also a gift for all the fans of Cuba."

The series Aída, watched for years by Cubans through various means, became a cultural phenomenon for several generations, who found in its humor an escape from everyday difficulties. Paco León's promise keeps alive the hope that the return of Aída in movie format will also reach the audience on the island.
