A new wave of solidarity is sweeping through social media following the arrest of the members of the independent project El4tico in Holguín.

This time, a group of young Cuban activists —including the influencer Anna Sofía Benítez Silvente— shared a video on the account 'Fuera de la Caja Cuba', where they demanded the immediate release of Kamil Zayas Pérez and Ernesto Ricardo Medina, who were arrested on February 6 during a police operation.

"Free them now! They didn't arrest El4tico, they kidnapped the voice of all Cubans", proclaimed the joint message, which has gathered hundreds of views and supportive comments.

In the video, the young people denounced that the creators of the project were imprisoned "for exercising a natural human right: freedom of expression."

The name of the project, Fuera de la Caja Cuba, alludes to the English concept “thinking out of the box”, which means to think freely, creatively, and unconstrained by imposed limits.

In the Cuban context, their call carries special weight: it invites us to break the mold of uniform thinking, to question official propaganda, and to envision a different country based on civic independence and the plurality of ideas.

In a society where dissent is still punished, "thinking outside the box" becomes an act of intellectual and moral resistance.

“Disagreeing is not a crime, especially with a political project that has brought us so much misery”, affirmed one of the participants, while other young people insisted that “no one will be silenced because we all are El4tico.”

The group 'Fuera de la Caja Cuba', with over seven thousand followers on Instagram, has recently shared messages of support and reports of repression on the island.

In his biography, they quote a phrase from José Martí: “Freedom is the right of every man to be honored, to think, and to speak without hypocrisy,” a motto that has gained strength following the arrests.

The video ends with a message that captures the feelings of the youth both inside and outside the country: “It doesn't matter that they try to silence us, our message will not die. Cuba needs a change, and that change is now. We are all El4tico.”

The social media campaign has spread under the hashtags #WeAreAllEl4tico and #FreeThemNow, reinforcing the visibility of a case that symbolizes the struggle for freedom of thought and expression in Cuba.
