The First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in Holguín, Joel Queipo Ruiz, spoke out regarding the detention of the youth involved in the independent audiovisual project El4tico.

In a message shared on Facebook, Queipo lashed out at Ernesto Ricardo Medina and Kamil Zayas, whom he described as "faces that appear innocent but have the souls of treacherous invaders."

El4tico is a dissenting space that emerged in Holguín, where Medina and Zayas question power from a small room converted into a studio, where they mix analysis and socio-political critiques of Cuban reality.

With thousands of followers online, it is one of the most visible alternative platforms in Cuba.

But according to Queipo Ruiz, the project is not dedicated to the well-being of the people, but "responds to imperial interests."

The communist leader insists that, although they want to portray themselves as innocent and defenders of human rights, in reality, they incite disobedience against the constitutional order and support military intervention in Cuba.

"They are not simply content creators, nor are they young people who just disagree with the revolutionary process, but rather individuals who are responding to an agenda with the interests of the enemy," he emphasized.

He also accused them of acting with a "manual to overthrow the Cuban Revolution, for which millions of dollars are allocated."

"The Cuban people will never allow wage earners who sell their homeland to take away our freedom and sovereignty with imperial interests. It is not a favor; it is a right that the homeland has to preserve its independence," he emphasized.

He concluded his message by remembering Fidel and Raúl Castro, stating that "there will be no room for those who portray themselves as innocent while having their souls sold to the invaders."
