Marc Anthony had an unexpected —and widely discussed— moment during one of his concerts in Las Vegas when a fan from the audience shouted: “Speak in Spanish, you jerk”, while the artist was addressing the audience in English.
The salsa singer, who is currently performing his residency “¡A la manera Vegásmica!” at the Teatro BleauLive, was chatting with the attendees when a comment came from the crowd. Without missing a beat or losing his composure, the singer immediately responded in Spanish: “Cállate, cabr**”, eliciting laughter, surprise, and applause from those present.
The moment was captured on video and quickly began to circulate on social media, where many viewed it as a demonstration of the artist's spontaneous temperament on stage.
Born in New York to Puerto Rican parents, Marc Anthony seamlessly navigates between English and Spanish, a trait that is integral to his identity and his connection with diverse audiences.
Beyond the exchange, the show continued smoothly, and the artist kept revisiting the hits that have defined his more than 30-year career.
