A robbery straight out of a movie took place in Miami during the early hours of the weekend, as criminals broke into a home and stole a luxurious Ferrari Spider, while the owner, an influencer with millions of followers, tried to stop them by shouting.
According to a report from Telemundo 51, the theft occurred on Saturday around 4:00 a.m., when the police received a call alerting them to a break-in at a residence in the city. According to authorities, two men dressed entirely in black managed to enter the garage of the property and stole a black Ferrari F8 Spider.
What seemed like just another case of high-end car theft in South Florida took a viral turn when content creator TikTok @jcandsondraa, who has over 12 million followers, posted a video claiming that the stolen Ferrari was his.
"Guys, they stole our Ferrari. This is not a joke," he said in the clip shared on social media. "They were going to steal the G-Wagon too, but I managed to shout."
In his testimony, the influencer explained that the thieves were not only looking for the Ferrari but also his Mercedes G-Wagon, a luxury vehicle even more associated with public figures in Miami.
"Last night, around four in the morning, they broke into the house; they were going to steal the G-Wagon. They couldn't because I managed to shout, but they took it anyway," he recounted.
According to what was reported by Telemundo 51, security camera footage showed one of the suspects inside the stolen Ferrari, while another was captured inside the parked G-Wagon at the residence. However, that second individual got out and fled on foot.
A black Ferrari F8 Spider: “if you see it in Miami, call the police”
In his video, the influencer specified that the stolen car is a black Ferrari F8 Spider with silver rims and temporary plates.
"It's black with silver rims... and if you see it in Miami, please don't forget to call the police," he requested.
He also noted that the criminals were moving in a vehicle that, as he described, appeared to be a white Mercedes, possibly a CLA 250, with black rims.
Authorities indicated that the investigation remains open and active, while the case continues to generate reactions on social media, where many users expressed concern about the level of insecurity and the ease with which organized gangs are reportedly stealing luxury cars in residential neighborhoods.
So far, no arrests have been announced in connection with the robbery.
