The Cuban baseball player Christian Onofre, an outfielder and infielder, departed from Cuba in recent hours heading to Mexico with the aim of seeking a contract with a Major League organization, as reported by insider Francys Romero.
Onofre, a native of Holguín and 24 years old, will soon showcase his talents in front of MLB franchises, as part of his process to join professional baseball.
The player has participated in several editions of the National Series with the Holguin team and recorded an offensive average of .307 during the 2024 season, numbers that position him as an intriguing talent within recent Cuban baseball.
According to the information released, Christian Onofre belongs to Thompson Agency Sports, which represents several Latin American baseball players on their journey to professionalism.
