Cuban influencer Anna Sofía Benítez Silvente, known on social media as Anna Bensi, reported on Monday a supposed harassment scheme against her after receiving dozens of calls and messages from strangers asking if she sold eggs.

"They have been messaging and calling me for days to see if I sell eggs. I don't know what strategy this is," she wrote on her social media, where she shared screenshots of Cuban numbers that contacted her with the same repeated message: “Hello, do you sell eggs?”

According to his explanation, when returning some calls he noticed irregularities. In one case, the person who answered claimed to have dialed a completely different number than his, which reinforced his suspicions that his phone number had been shared in some group or sales page without his consent.

The young woman assured that she will continue to publicly disclose the numbers from which she is contacted. "There are many more, but I want you to know that I will expose each one of those who call from now on," she warned.

In the comments, dozens of followers expressed their support and pointed out that this type of action is not new. Journalist José Raúl Gallego stated that it is a tactic previously used against activists, opponents, and relatives of political prisoners: publishing their numbers on advertising platforms to generate an avalanche of calls that disrupt their personal and work life. “It is State Security,” he assured.

Other users reported similar experiences, claiming to have received unsolicited calls after expressing critical views on social media. Some advised restricting calls from unknown numbers, while others warned, as a personal concern, that these tactics could be aimed at “fabricating a cause” or provoking an incident that could later be used against them.

The complaint comes a day after the young woman from Havana shook up social media with her video "Ciegos a conveniencia", a direct critique of double standards and complacent silence in Cuba.

In that piece, Bensi openly questioned whether it is possible to thrive on the Island without silencing oneself before those in power and denounced the cost paid by artists, entrepreneurs, and creators who choose to dissent.

At just 21 years old, and after having reported surveillance, work pressures, and internet shutdowns, the influencer has become one of the most visible and critical young voices in the country.
