Mailin Rodríguez Sánchez, wife of the political prisoner and conscience Yosvany Rosell García Caso, reported this Saturday, October 22, 2025, that she is a victim of surveillance, threats, and harassment by the Cuban State Security.

In a post made on her Facebook profile, the woman, a mother of three, stated that several people were threatened not to visit her home, which she sees as a clear sign of repression and control by the regime authorities.

"People have been threatened to prevent them from coming to my house. This means that I am being monitored, suppressed, threatened, and my phone is tapped."

"I fear for my life. I hold the G2, the DTI, and all those in the Cuban government involved responsible for anything that may happen to me," Mailin reported.

The wife of the political prisoner also stated that she will not stop fighting for her husband’s freedom and justice, who has been on a hunger strike that has now lasted 31 days in protest of his unfair imprisonment.

“I have my rights and duties, and I will enforce them. I will not stop fighting for the freedom and justice of my husband. I make it known that if anything happens to me, the authorities of the regime will be responsible,” added Rodríguez Sánchez.

Yosvany Rosell García Caso, considered a prisoner of conscience, has been recognized by human rights organizations for his peaceful activism and his critical stance towards the Cuban regime.

His family has reported multiple times the reprisals and harassment they face for demanding his release.

The situation of Mailin Rodríguez reflects the pattern of systematic harassment against the families of political prisoners in Cuba, who are often intimidated by State Security to silence and socially isolate them.

Yosvani Rosell García Caso was the 11J protester who received the highest sentence for participating in the demonstrations, 30 years in prison, which was later reduced to 15 years after an appeal.

On November 19, he was moved to the inmates' wing of the Clinical Surgical Hospital in the province after completing 29 days on hunger strike.

His family states that he is currently in critical condition.
