The Israeli Army reported this Saturday the death of seven senior officials of the Iranian defense apparatus following a series of airstrikes executed by the Israeli Air Force (IAF) against military targets in Iranian territory.

Through a statement released on the social media platform X, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) indicated that Israeli fighter jets conducted "precise" bombings against strategic facilities, eliminating seven high-ranking figures from the regime's defense leadership.

According to the official Israeli report, among the deceased is the Iranian Minister of Defense, Aziz Nasirzadeh, as well as the commander of the Revolutionary Guard, Mohammad Pakpour.

Moreover, Ali Shamkhani, senior advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran and former secretary of the Supreme National Security Council; Saleh Asadi, senior official at the Ministry of Defense linked to strategic planning; and Mohammad Shirazi, head of the Military Office of the Supreme Leader.

Also, Hossein Jabal Amelian, a high-ranking official in the logistics apparatus of the Ministry of Defense; and Reza Mozaffari-Nia, a senior official in the Iranian military-industrial sector connected to defense programs.

"The world is a better place without them," stated the Israeli Army in their post.

This afternoon, a senior Israeli official, in statements reported by the REUTERS agency, also said that the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, died during military strikes carried out by joint forces of the United States and Israel.

The attacks occur amid a significant military escalation in the region, following recent operations by the United States against the Iranian regime and rising tensions between Tehran and Israel.

So far, Iranian authorities have not issued an official statement detailing their version of events nor publicly confirmed the casualties reported by Israel.

Analysts warn that the removal of key figures from the Iranian military apparatus could lead to reprisals and escalate the regional conflict, which is already keeping several powers on high alert and has prompted global security warnings.
